Home2 Suites by Hilton Fort Collins

We ended up leaving early and getting a refund after a really bad night. We travel around the country for different reasons and, as Gold members, have come to expect Hilton’s usual quality and sense of safety, especially when I travel alone. At check-in, the night clerk saw us come in, put up an “away” sign, and stayed on the phone searching for something, so we had to wait. The room had several floor stains and hair all over the sheets and bedspreads on both beds. The mattresses were noisy and uncomfortable. It felt like a budget hotel, and we checked carefully for bedbugs. We didn’t find any, but it was late, we had to get up early, and the night was awful. The woman at the front desk in the morning was very nice, especially by comparison. We also found the night clerk had charged a pet fee even though we had no pet with us. Hilton needs to raise this location’s standards or remove it from the chain.

The kids loved the pool, and the front desk staff were great. Our room was nice, though the bathroom had several loose tiles. We reported them, and staff offered to move us. We decided to stay put because we didn’t want to haul all our bags, and they planned to close that room off in the morning. The exercise room had some pedal machines but no treadmill. Overall, we had a really good experience and I’d stay again.

Finding a place during an extremely busy Valentine’s weekend, when hotels everywhere were booked, could have been a hassle. Calvin at the front desk handled my extended stay at Home2 Suites by Hilton with care and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. He was diligent, professional, and genuinely helpful. Big thanks for the excellent service. The hotel was spotless and comfortable, a nice cozy place for a longer stay. I’d recommend it, especially for the clean surroundings and friendly staff.

I paid through 11 a.m. checkout, but staff started knocking at 8:00 and came back every half hour until 10:30. I book one day at a time for work and sometimes don’t get back until 7 or 8 in the morning, so being woken an hour later again and again was completely unacceptable. They even tried to enter while I was still in the room. Totally unprofessional.
