The location worked well for getting to a few nearby places, but that was about the only upside. The beds and decor are dated and need a full overhaul. There was just one laundry machine, way across the building, which was a major inconvenience. I also found it odd that not all rooms had microwaves, if any did. Our fridge was broken and couldn’t keep a drink cold, and the TV didn’t work either. Service was rude, except for the gentleman working there. When he saw I’d booked through booking.com, he still gave me a hard time at check-in over an animal fee he was trying to overcharge me for. For what I paid, I expected a decent stay. I chose this place based on what was promised online and was let down badly.

The people were nice, but I wouldn’t stay here again. The showers in the hot tub area had good pressure and hot water, so that’s where we ended up showering. In our room, the hot water was barely more than a trickle and wasn’t really hot. The pool and hot tub area was clean, but the hot tub was only around 90 degrees at most, and turning it on just brought out cold water. My husband tried four other rooms, and they all had the same problem.

We come back several times a year because it’s quiet even when the hotel is busy, and the beds let us get a good night’s rest. The rooms are clean, and the staff are always friendly. There’s a spacious indoor pool and hot tub area that’s spotless, with showers available there too. Parking works for regular cars as well as semis, and breakfast has a good continental selection.

I booked the room through expedia for $70 a night, but was charged $145 a night. The extra cost wasn’t made clear when I paid with my debit card, and it pushed my account below zero, leaving me with several overdraft fees. A search now shows a maximum of $80 a night. The room itself was roomy and clean. The outdoor pool looked neglected, though the indoor pool was good. The jacuzzi and ice machine were both out of order. The charge really got under my skin, and I won’t stay here again.
