The location is ideal, close to the beach, and the bed was extremely comfortable. But for what we paid, we expected much better. The tap water was yellow and dirty, and the shower stayed hot for only five minutes. The coffee was disgusting. Our room door was difficult to open and close, while the bathroom door wouldn’t close fully or lock. There was no iron in the room when we arrived, and the ironing board was stained. The landscaping needs attention, and the room wasn’t serviced during our four-day stay, so the towels were never replaced. Checkout is at 11 a.m., and late checkout costs an extra $15 an hour, which we weren’t willing to pay. We’ll consider other resorts nearby next time.

Chuck, Pedro, and Lawrence were great hosts and looked after us well. The other guests were friendly and sociable, too. Cheston House Guest House is quaint, civilized, and very well maintained, with a great location. Even the Standard Guest Room was spacious and comfortable, and the bed made for a perfect night’s sleep. Parking was convenient and reasonably priced for the area. No complaints, and it well deserves five stars.

Just one block from the beach, this place is a hidden oasis with a sparkling, nicely heated pool. The old pictures on Google don’t do it justice: the rooms have been completely updated and are crisp, clean, modern, and very comfortable. I loved the rainfall shower head and down comforter. The staff were friendly and attentive, and I enjoyed getting to know other guests. I’ve already booked another visit.

This was my second stay here, and I’ll be back next time I’m in FLL. The place is well kept, quiet, and very comfortable, barely two blocks from the beach and restaurants. The hosts are welcoming, the bed is really comfy, and it works well for a laid-back vacation or a quick getaway for singles or couples. I’d highly recommend it.

We had a great stay and the staff were super friendly. The one thing I’d change is the pool’s privacy. On our last night, someone at a nearby hotel heckled us while we were swimming. That’s not Cheston’s fault, but a taller gate and maybe a wraparound tarp could make it harder for people to peer in. We’ll be back anyway. Really nice place.
