I had a Priceline reservation for November 8-10, 2025, and arrived around 3-4 p.m. with my 10-year-old son. Nobody was there to check us in. We waited 34 minutes, then I booked us a room at a nearby hotel, OCEAN SKY, where there were several people at the desk, water, and a waiting area. I’ve never been to a hotel that had no bell or other way to alert anyone that guests needed to check in. The front desk door was locked during what seemed like check-in hours, around 1-6 p.m. There was no phone number to call and no way to get someone to come to the desk. I didn’t see any other workers, like room service staff, either. The place felt deserted, and the outdoor pool looked unkept. Since my son and I had to go elsewhere, I respectfully asked for a refund but got back less than a third. I think that was unfair when I couldn’t even get proper service to check in. The hotel also told Priceline they had been waiting for me, which wasn’t true. I want to review the camera footage and pursue this fully, because if they did nothing wrong, there shouldn’t have been hesitation about giving a full refund. It made me even more frustrated that my son was left waiting there too. I hope they didn’t expect us to wait for hours. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Judging by how they kept up the outside, I can only imagine the rooms. I may have saved myself a lot of trouble by going to Ocean Sky instead.

The room was clean, which is why I gave it two stars. For what I paid, it wasn’t a good experience, close to three times the price. The bathroom was so cramped that my foot got in the way of the door when I tried to close it after sitting on the toilet. I had to shut the door first, then sit down. There was no bathtub, just tiled flooring in the shower. The floor tiles were convenient, but the shower curtain kept falling whenever someone touched it.

Mya at the front desk was so warm and helpful when our flight was canceled and we needed a last-minute reservation. The location is great too, about a 10-15 minute walk to the beach and local coffee shops.

At check-in, they let you either leave a hold on your card or pay cash, which they said they’d return right away at checkout. Later I found out the $100 the front desk gave me back was fraudulent. I thought it felt a bit fake, but didn’t think much of it at the time. I even said it felt papery, and she just laughed. I’ve now involved the authorities and filed police reports. I’ve been trying to reach the manager for quite a while without luck. If I call in the morning, I’m told he comes in at night. When I call at night, I’m told he comes in the morning.

We had a lovely night and day here. The staff were kind and extremely accommodating. Good-priced beach hotel, and I’d recommend it to anyone coming here. We’ll be back!
