Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Marina Hotel

The beds were very comfortable, and the rooms were quiet. For a cruise, the location is five stars, with a pharmacy, other services, Boatyard restaurant, and rental car returns nearby. We stayed before our cruise to lower the chance of travel problems on sailing day. If you aren’t cruising, I’d choose somewhere else. Breakfast was the weak point. The buffet food was only slightly warm, so try ordering from the menu. There weren’t enough wait staff for the crowd eating before embarkation.

We spent one night here before our cruise from Port Everglades. The hotel felt very clean, which is our top priority, and all the staff were welcoming and friendly. The water was hot and the pressure was great. The walls are thin, though, so hallway conversations carry into the room. Still, we were very pleased with the stay.

The room itself was pretty good, but the hotel feels tired and needs some capital investment. For the number of rooms, the pool area is much too small, so finding a deck chair may be tough. The gym is tiny and short on equipment, and the service was mediocre. It was a fairly blah stay, especially for the price.

We were only a few miles from Terminal 4 to board the Disney Dream, with plenty of food options and banks within walking distance. The hotel has a classic, clean feel, and the room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The bathrooms in the room were spotless, and the lobby bathrooms fairly clean. My kids enjoyed it, which is unusual for them. The TV and fridge worked, and the shower was great. Check-in was quick and painless. Even at 8:30PM the front desk was attentive and fast. The bellman was great and offered to store our luggage before and after the cruise. There was delicious infused water at the entrance. We didn’t eat there or use the shuttle, and I’m not sure whether shuttle service is available outside booking packages. I’m caffeine adverse but love coffee flavor, and there wasn’t a decaf option. I know places can’t accommodate every food aversion, so it was still a 10/10 stay.
