The S Of Las Olas Canal-view Haven W/ Pool 1 Bedroom Hotel Room

The AC in both rooms made a high pitched whistling noise, so we had to switch it off to sleep. That’s my main complaint, along with how hard it was to reach anyone by phone. I called about five times a day for three days before check-in to confirm my reservation because I never got an email. They finally answered on the third day. On arrival, no one was at the office; after about four calls Jason picked up and gave me the room and gate codes, so we weren’t locked out, but I still wanted confirmation. The two bedroom room itself was spacious and had exactly the kitchen setup I wanted, with utensils, pots, pans, and a fridge. For the price, it was amazing. The pool and location were great too. Parking was limited, but we had no trouble across the street as long as we didn’t leave the car overnight. It smelled like lavender Fabuloso when I walked in. I had a great stay and will be back.

The pool was nice, though it felt geared toward adults rather than kids, and it was fun being surrounded by $200K sailboats. The place is peaceful, but restaurants and shops are a bit far, so having a car would suit you better. I’d say it’s a better fit for adults traveling without children. Some rooms have awkward layouts and very tight spaces. Many that we saw weren’t accessible for people with disabilities, and there’s no elevator to the upper floors.

The apartment was lovely, with a useful kitchenette, a great shower, and a ground-floor patio where we enjoyed breakfast. The location worked well too, within walking distance of the beach, restaurants, and cafes. We stayed four nights in January 2018, and getting the room code sent before arrival took several calls. There was opened leftover food in the cupboards and not enough linen for the sofa bed, but they fixed that and apologized. Then housekeeping took the extra linen away and didn’t replace it, so we had to ask again. The crockery also wasn’t properly clean, and I washed the plates and bowls myself.

It was a shame the rain kept us from using the pool during our birthday weekend, but I’d gladly plan another stay. The hotel felt cozy, and our room was clean and really nice. They made sure the kitchen had everything we needed and left extra towels, including beach towels.
