Super 8 by Wyndham Fort Madison

The room was badly cleaned and the place felt poorly managed. I knew it was a Super 8 and wasn’t expecting much, but on the second day I found a used, dirty diaper tucked under the corner of my bed. That was disgusting and a health concern. I told the staff, a family who live there and run the place, and they acted like it was nothing, saying they cleaned every day. I was out all day, and when I came back the diaper was still under the bed. I had to pull it out myself and take it to the front desk, where they again seemed unconcerned. There were also kids’ toys in the middle of the hallway, and you had to walk around them. At one point their child was lying in the hall, and I had to ask them to sit up so I could get to the rooms. The white towels had black spots that could have been mold, and paint was peeling in the bathroom. Don’t stay here. Find somewhere that cares about its guests at least a little.
