Holiday Inn Express & Suites Fort Mill by IHG

The staff were amazing, and we really enjoyed the coffee and breakfast. We stopped in Fort Mill, SC on our way to GA and were happy with the location. Getting on and off the highway was easy, check-in and checkout were simple, and we slept well. There was no noise from other rooms or the highway.

The pool was clean, pleasant, and quiet even though the area is busy. The staff were kind, respectful, and very accommodating. We had a wonderful stay on our trip to Fort Mills, SC, with restaurants, supermarkets, and fun places to go nearby. They also offer a buffet breakfast with lots of choices. I wish I’d taken a picture. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

May 15,2026, around 11:00om. We found bed bugs on top of the blanket and pillow, plainly visible. They moved us to another room, but that one had bed bugs too. There were ants in the bathroom as well. There’s a dumpster full of mattresses in the parking lot, which we didn’t notice when we arrived. Be careful and check the bed. Stay safe!

The room was the worst part. The bed had a visible hole, looked worn out, and didn’t seem maintained. Its bedding was wrinkled and barely looked prepared, so it felt neither clean nor comfortable. For somewhere meant for rest, that bed was shocking. The hallways looked like a construction zone, with torn-up carpet, exposed glue, debris, dust, dirt, and bits of material scattered around. It felt unsafe just walking through, as if renovations were underway while guests were still being housed there. Nothing about the stay seemed properly managed. People shouldn’t have to pay to stay in a place that looks unfinished, dirty, and poorly maintained. If major work is happening, the hotel should close parts of the property or warn guests before they arrive. I’d strongly recommend avoiding this hotel until the serious maintenance and cleanliness problems are fixed. It was deeply disappointing and far below what anyone should expect for a paid hotel stay.
