Edgewater Inn

Our first room, the ground-floor unit nearest the pool, was disgusting. We walked in to a mold smell and soon found that only half the condo had power. Maintenance came and reset the breakers, and we emptied a very full dehumidifier. We thought it was sorted, but a few hours later the breakers tripped again. Since maintenance couldn't access the locked room with the breaker box or reach anyone after hours, we spent the night at our family's condo across the street at Bellaire Beach club. The next day the power came back, but switching on the AC caused it to go out again. We were finally moved to a dated, dirty fourth-floor condo facing the street. My mother-in-law was on the fourth floor overlooking the pool, and her place was beautiful, clean, and updated. Avoid the rooms we got like the plague.

We had a really nice, beautifully renovated apartment. It was peaceful in the evenings, and everything local was close enough to walk to.

You can walk pretty much anywhere from this great place. Seven eleven is right next door for anything you need, and the pool is great too. If you're looking to rent umbrellas, I'd suggest Best Western, which also has a pool.

The staff were great, and our condo was clean, updated, and beautiful. We had an excellent stay.
