Fins Right - Next to Margaritaville

License to Chill was great, with a fun vibe, excellent service, and happy hour from 1pm-5pm. Christopher especially stood out. He was polite, energetic, and a nice young kid. MV is lucky to have him. Other people at Chill were nice too. We didn't stay at the resort, just had drinks at License to Chill Bar & Grill and Lah De Dah Beach Bar & Grill. Getting there from over the bridge or from South FMB can be a hassle, and traffic from midday until 6pm can be rough. Lah De Dah wasn't our scene at all. Its happy hour runs 5pm-8pm, and the staff were mostly prompt and okay, but most of the clientele felt unfriendly, uppity, and judgmental. That was surprising since we're friendly and my wife enjoys talking with people. Acting too good for others just makes a person look small. If the guys want to compare d1kcs and portfolios, they might beat me on the D's, but their portfolios don't come close to mine. We never went to 5'O'clock, so I can't comment on it. I'm not slamming Margaritaville. It's touristy, fun, and well kept. The sunset show at sundown is a must-see at least once.

The sunset view is hard to beat, and the place was so much fun for my 50th birthday with my closest friends. We loved the pool, though birds keep pooping in it and nothing is done about it. Service at the hotel, pools, and restaurants was just okay. Plan to spend money because it isn't cheap.

We liked how the coffee and pizza outlet sits right along the walkway, making it easy to grab something on the go. The outdoor pool is huge, and getting to the beach was simple. Our daughters loved playing in the sand and then swimming afterward. The staff we met were fantastic and genuine, and the bell staff were quick and timely. Our room was clean and spacious, and we enjoyed the tasty food and drinks along with the different happy hours. My family had a wonderful time. We'll be back and will recommend the property to family and friends.

The people around the pool made this a trip I'll never forget. G ran the activities and kept the fun going all day, helping me with tie dye shirts, shell painting, and everything else. Jeff was a star server, always calling us by name and moving faster than the roadrunner cartoon. I looked forward to his energy and vibe each day. Sky was so kind, and I loved chatting with her. Katie, the manager, was sweet and helped get the MSU basketball game on the giant TV. It felt like they really enjoyed being there, and I felt I'd made friends for life. Every restaurant had great food and huge portions. My favorite was the pulled shrimp at the pool bar, and the restaurant happy hours were great deals. Our room was amazing, with a private patio where I could relax and watch everyone near the “chill bar” and fire. I also loved having the room turned down every day. My husband and I spent a week at Margaritaville at the end of January, with perfect hot, sunny days and no cold front. I honestly can't think of a bad thing about the resort or its people. I wish I were floating in that warm pool with a marg in my hand right now!
