Fort Myers Beach Inn

Wow, we had such a great stay in the Mermaid Suite. It was clean, spacious, and close to the beach. Rosanne has everything you need for the beach and beyond, so just bring your swimsuit and suntan lotion. There's a nature preserve right across the street; it's quiet there but still close to all the fun. The pool is refreshing and the location is perfect. I'm almost afraid to tell everyone because we want to come back. I'd give the suite a 10 out of 10!

After flying in and traveling for hours, we were left stranded when the staff refused to let us check in. The host’s only response was, “it’s not my problem.” We’d spent over $2,000, but got back less than 10%, after being told to cancel if we wanted a refund. Since we booked through Air BNB, the policy said renters who cancel get no refund. It felt like they were bullying us into canceling, and they treated us with real hostility, especially considering we’re college age. I’d choose the Marriott instead. I wouldn’t give this place even one star if I didn’t have to.

The owners were so friendly and helpful, and the place was clean with a decent heated pool. It’s quiet and an easy walk to the beach, and they have just about everything you need there. I’d stay again and recommend it. A beach wagon for each unit, overhead bedroom lighting, and maybe a little couch or loveseat in the living room would make it even better. I’d call it 4.5 stars.

Such a nice little place, and the owner made us feel very welcome. I’m even looking at another property they own in Tennessee, the Chalet. Definitely recommend.
