Gateway Villas #199

The condo and pool were both great, and everyone staying or owning a place there was super nice. The one thing missing is beach chairs. Around seven years ago, we were told we could use the chairs at the property next door, but this time its manager told us otherwise, and wasn’t very nice about it. Since we’d flown down and couldn’t take them back, we bought two chairs and left them there.

Our balcony and view were terrific, and the grounds, hallways, elevators, and pool were always clean. It was our first time at these condos, and we loved the setting: the quiet North end, especially in August. When something came up in the unit, Beach Accommodations, who managed our rental, handled it quickly. The condo itself was another story, just one star for unit #496. It seemed untouched since 1979, with broken trim, caulk that needs replacing, and awful beds where you could feel the springs. The master only had two full beds, so we spent our vacation sleeping separately. It needs a major update.

Handy for getting to the pier. The complex was clean, and the pool was nice. Good for families.

The location is lovely, and the sunsets are a highlight. Definitely a place to stay.
