We were grateful that staff moved us right away when we had a problem with the floors in our first room, and the newer second pool was amazing. We also loved the old Florida feel and being close to the beach. But the nightly Tiki bar music from 7 to 11 was ridiculously loud, sometimes with drunk people singing. There was no warning about that before booking, and yes, it was way too loud. Several people smoked outside their rooms, and the place seemed to attract people who wanted to smoke, drink too much, and party. The quaint little beach inn shown online felt far from reality. This is somewhere people go to party. Parking was terrible, and the elevator apparently hasn’t worked for a long time. My wife and I are 59 and 69, so hauling our things up to the third floor was inconvenient. There are newer and older sections. We got a room in the older part, probably because we booked a discounted deal online. The newer area looks very nice, so ask for a room there if possible. I wouldn’t stay at this party hotspot again, mainly because of the kind of crowd and atmosphere it attracts.

Rachel, our bartender, was the best. She treated us like family, and we wished we could take her home with us. We had a wonderful time with family and friends. The new rooms and pool are amazing, and the Tiki bar is a lot of fun. Great location, very convenient for the beach.

The room was described as a suite with a terrace, but it was just a regular hotel room with a balcony overlooking the carport. There was no room service or Wi-Fi, and they made some excuse about it. The TV didn’t work without Wi-Fi. Karaoke was extremely loud, with people shouting into the microphone until 11 at night. You’re paying to be near the beach, and for us it wasn’t worth it at the Lighthouse motel. It’s no resort. You’d be better off staying near the Walmart a mile away, where there’s a park and ride and a city bus straight to the beach.

Our freshly redone one-bedroom was inside the gated pool area, so it was easy to walk right out to the deck chairs. There was a Tiki bar there, plus another popular on-site bar with entertainment. The location was amazing: a short walk to the beach or downtown restaurants. Some reconstruction from the hurricane was still going on, but we had a great first visit to Ft. Myers Beach.
