Santa Maria 400 - Wkly A 2 Bedroom Condo by Redawning

The pool and hot tub were a big reason I chose this condo through Airbnb, since the listing said they were available. But after the 48-hour window for a full cancellation had passed, I was told both were out of service indefinitely. We haven't even checked in, yet cancelling now means losing 50% of the cost. It feels like false advertising to get a booking and then leave guests stuck choosing between staying without what was advertised or losing half their money. I wouldn't have booked here if I'd known the pool and hot tub weren't offered.

Our Airbnb condo was just right, and we liked the pool and hot tub. The beach and a few other places were within walking distance, and the gas station was a five-minute walk. There are quiet-hour rules after 10 pm. Great stay.

Unit 111 was generally clean, and the kitchen was well stocked. The resort is otherwise quiet and pleasant. The furniture is old and probably needs replacing. The bedding looked a bit aged and discolored, and the king bed was so soft it felt like a waterbed mattress, which wasn't good for my back.

Apart from the pool problems, it was a great place, but they need to hire different staff. The pool and hot tub stayed closed for a week while the maintenance guy had nearly every walkway blocked or taped off. I guess the pool guy had been fired, leaving the pool duties to a maintenance worker who didn't know what he was doing. The pool was closed for our whole stay.
