Tahitian Inn

The stay was fine apart from the checkout fuss. Checkout at 10:30 am was strictly enforced: the office called 15 minutes beforehand, then staff were waiting at the door to get in and clean. That felt excessive. The bathroom was clean and remodeled, and the mattresses were comfortable. The room had a refrigerator, microwave, and small coffee maker. Beaches were 2 to 3 miles away, with a shuttle available, though we took an Uber.

The front desk was pleasant and really helpful, and the prices were very reasonable. Our room was larger than expected and spotless. It’s close to beaches and restaurants, with a canal and boats behind the property. From the street it doesn’t look like much, but don’t let that fool you. I’d recommend it to anyone.

The bed was comfy, and my husband and I enjoyed the little dock by the canal. We even got lucky and saw a tiny baby crab that we could hold. The staff were friendly and the price wasn’t bad during our November 21st-22nd 2020 stay. The room was cute, though the bathroom wasn’t the cleanest and the shower head was terrible.

We came to this area because Fort Myers beach had little inventory left, and what was available cost over $500 a night. For a quick overnight stay, this place sufficed, and you get what you pay for. The staff were friendly and made check-in and check-out easy. The rooms were dated, though the bathroom looked newly remodeled. That almost pushed my rating up another star.
