Budget Inn - Ft Myers

The one downside was that there was no pool, though we were only there for one night and hadn't planned to use one. Otherwise, the price was great, the place was much nicer than I expected, and I'll definitely stay again. It had been newly remodeled with tile floors, which we liked because we didn't have to step on gross carpets. Everything was clean, the beds were high but very comfortable, and the fridge and microwave were spotless, probably brand new. There was a musty Florida smell at first, but it went away quickly once the air was on.

I was beyond tired and desperate for sleep. The rooms are small, but they've used every bit of space they could in the rooms and bathrooms. They were very clean, the beds were comfortable, the TV was decent, and the AC was amazing. It was also quiet. Prices are definitely elevated because there weren't other places with rooms unless you were willing to drive 2.5 hour's away from work.

The main road brought some noise until late, but there were food places and stores just a few minutes' walk away. The place had classic old school Florida colors and lots of old trees. The owner was on site and minded their own business. We needed to be near the Fort Meyers airport for an early morning flight at the end of our trip. It was the cheapest place on Google for the night, so we drove over. At first I thought it was a dump for one night, but I was surprised: the exterior was clean, freshly painted, and had great LED lighting. The room was a bit small, but really clean and nice. The shampoo and conditioner were a nice surprise. Two thumbs up.
