My room and the service were both fine. The internet was the problem, it’s really poor. When I asked the front desk for the hotel password, she said they don’t have their own service or link and you have to rely on whatever public connection you can find. For me, that’s a deal breaker in the future. We’re so connected through our phones now that internet access is a must. Sorry, but this is the modern world. Get with it or get left behind.

We’re in town for five nights for a wedding, and I’d absolutely stay here again and recommend it. It’s the best lower-budget hotel we’ve ever stayed at. The night before leaving home, I didn’t sleep a wink, but after arriving I got the best three to four hour nap, then slept 11 hours straight that night. The bed and linens are superb. The room was very clean, and the housekeepers and front desk staff were lovely. Sometimes after the first night of a multi-night hotel stay, you know you need to leave and can’t do another night. I didn’t feel that way here.

The room was large for the price and comfortable, and unlike a lot of hotels these days, it didn’t smell bad. The bedding did have a weird smell, though, which is why I took off a star. The front desk agent was helpful. There’s free parking and breakfast, and the hotel is very close to the interstate, which is handy when traveling.

Kevin, the manager, was personable and gave me a good experience while helping book the last room of the type I wanted. The staff were great, but I left after seeing the room. I went to check the bathroom cleanliness and found hair near the toilet and yellow staining. With the lid closed, I lifted it using a Kleexex and saw hair on the seat, too. It was gross and unacceptable. At the desk, the representative seemed surprised and almost like she didn’t believe me when I explained and asked whether it had been cleaned. I received a refund and left. If you stay, check the room with the lights on before settling in. I looked around with them off.
