Hampton Inn & Suites Fort Myers - Colonial Blvd

There’s no room service or bar on site, though you can find plenty of places to eat and drink a short drive away. We wanted somewhere basic and inexpensive for a night or two before moving on, and Hampton Inn worked well. The staff were friendly, and we had privacy. It’s pretty much what you see is what you get, and I thought it was worth the price. No complaints, and I’d recommend it if you’re after a simple stay.

I booked here because it’s just down the street from my home. Our apartment complex had a water line problem, so we were left without water, and I was already upset when I arrived. Peter and Rachele let me talk it out and listened with patience. They were kind and understanding, gave me excellent service, and even offered bottled water after my long day. Sometimes having someone hear you out is all you need. I really appreciate them for that.

The staff made me feel welcome from the start, and the GM was especially warm. Seph at the front desk was funny and helpful, and everyone there seemed to care about making guests feel valued. They even had warm cookies in the afternoon each night. I appreciated being allowed to see the room before checking in, and it was very clean. I’m picky, and I’d recommend this hotel. A couple of things could be better: the sliding bathroom door didn’t lock, and when we came down for breakfast at 9:45, they were out of eggs and the kitchen employee said they wouldn’t make more, even though breakfast runs until 10.

We only stayed two nights, but it was just right for a quick getaway. The location is central and easy to get to, check-in was simple, and they sent texts during the trip to see how things were going. The room was great, and breakfast had plenty to choose from: a Denver omelet, potatoes, sausage, toast, scones, muffins, waffles, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, coffee, and juice.
