Hutchinson Island Hotel

Ms. Nikki, the housekeeping manager/director, made our stay feel special. She always greeted us with a smile, remembered us as the “honeymoon couple,” and went out of her way to make sure we had what we needed. The staff were wonderful. We stayed at Hutchinson Island Plaza Hotel & Suites June 1-3 for our honeymoon, then added an extra night after a flat tire on our first and only full day. We jokingly called it our “honeymoon redo,” and were glad we stayed. The rooms are a bit outdated, but VERY clean, well maintained, and fully stocked. Cleanliness matters a lot to us, and they exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was fresh and good with plenty of options. We also appreciated the wristband rules for pool, beach, and fishing dock access, since we’ve often seen non-guests use amenities at other places. One evening around 10:30 PM, while we were fishing at the dock, a group of intoxicated people arrived without wristbands and seemed not to be registered guests. They wore local business shirts with local phone numbers and quickly crowded the dock, making it hard for paying guests to use it. Since the hotel is otherwise strict about access, it surprised us. We didn’t report it because monitoring who belongs there isn’t our responsibility, but that was the only time the wristband rule didn’t seem enforced. We had a wonderful honeymoon stay and would absolutely return. The cleanliness, friendly team, Ms. Nikki’s service, and peaceful location made it memorable.

The location was nice, and I’d recommend Chucks restaurant 10/10!! The property was smaller than it looked in the website pictures, and some room updates or renovations are needed. At check-in, the employee was pleasant, kind, and very informative. I’m bad with names, but she was from Ft Lauderdale, Fl.

They were working on upgrades during our visit and seem to be putting real effort into maintaining the place and addressing issues. I’d been a little nervous from some reviews, but we had no noise problems and would definitely return. The location is perfect, with a private beach, pool, and pier. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and we liked the little balcony off our room. There was a nice continental breakfast and coffee early in the morning. Thanks!

The boat parade was fun, and the staff were very accommodating, especially Alexis. We were happy with the clean, peaceful room and slept better than we have in a hotel for a while. Sleeping away from home can be hard, but this place made it easy. It’s close to the beach, and the pool, hot tub, and boat dock are within walking distance. Breakfast was available, and I could see my car from the balcony, which reassured me that my belongings were safe. Amazing experience, very happy, and I’ll definitely come back. Gracias.
