Road Runner Travel Resort - Caravan Park

The sites are roomy, paved, clean, and have full hookups. There are real trees here, so it doesn’t feel like a parking lot for campers, and there are also cabins to rent. I needed a site for a couple of days in January to visit friends coming from Northern Florida. Even though it was during the busy season, they found a site for us right beside our friends on their buddies sites. They also take Passport America, which got us 50% off for two nights.

My Aunt Carla (rest in peace) and her Husband Lorne owned this park in the 70's. It’s an important landmark in my life, and I love and appreciate the current RoadRunner owners for keeping it going all these years. I know my Aunt would be happy to know it’s still in business. The cottage was very clean, and check-in and checkout went smoothly. I picked this place because I was visiting family and it was nearby. The couch smelled like animals, and WiFi wouldn’t connect, so I could only watch a few channels. My family and I went for a walk on our first night, like I saw others doing, but a group living on the right as you enter the community stopped us and asked why we were on the property. When I didn’t give the answer they wanted, a woman called the sheriff and said a bunch of juveniles were walking around. I’m a grown woman who paid to be there. The year-round residents shouldn’t be running to the road to watch new faces and getting in my face to ask why we’re on the property. The sheriff checked who we were and left. Then a man in a BLACK JEEP TRUCK drove by, stopped, and just stared at my 17-year-old BLACK son. I didn’t appreciate that, and management should hear about what happened.

The restaurant was good and affordable, the place was super clean, and the service was fantastic. Amazing place to stay. I’ll definitely be back soon.
