Comfort Suites Fort Stockton

Clean, decent rooms for under $100 is all I can ask for, and I'll 100% stay again. Maybe things just cost less around here, but either way it's a great price. I took off a star because the water pressure was horrific. Seems like Texas has terrible pressure everywhere we go.

The light coming through the window and under the door makes it hard to sleep during the day. The outer curtains are just for decoration, so you can't close them. If you work nights and need to rest, that's a problem. Housekeeping was noisy in the halls too, with music blaring from their phones and calls on speaker. I wouldn't bother raising it with the front desk in the morning. There's an old snake working there then.

The rooms are good and the hotel felt safe, but closing breakfast at 9:30 in the morning is too early when checkout isn't until 11. That 30 minutes makes a difference. Nearby hotels have breakfast until 10 for the same price or less, so this is annoying.

I just moved to Fort Stockton and needed a room because my house wasn't ready. At the desk, they said they didn't rent to locals, after getting as far as quoting me $119. I then booked online and was charged $30 more. We did finally get a room, a hot tub suite because I have a bad back, but there was barely any hot water, only about two hours' worth in the whole day. The Jacuzzi by the pool smelled like a fish tank. We had two adults listed, but they would only give us one key, which turned into a haggle. Not a good experience. The decent breakfast is the only positive I can mention. I've also read a few reviews saying the manager always seems to be out of town until the following week, conveniently or inconveniently depending on your perspective. Kind of funny that people have said they had no power for most of their stay and couldn't get a refund, even after having to find another hotel for the night.
