Deluxe Inn Fort Stockton

We arrived around 10 at night after seeing availability on the website. The place had no cars anywhere except at the front desk. We asked for a room, were asked whether we wanted one or two beds, then asked what size the bed was. They said king, so we said we'd take it. Then the front desk told us there were no rooms available and they were all booked, even though there wasn't a car or a light on in any room. The staff seemed unwilling to spend the three minutes to check us in. Maybe they were lazy or racist, I don't know, but either way I wouldn't recommend staying here. Go to Executive Inn instead. They were extremely friendly, welcoming, and wanted our business.

A good, inexpensive overnight stop while you're on the road. The room was clean, there was plenty of hot water, and DirecTV had every channel you'd want. I even filled the cooler with ice before leaving in the morning.

The room was disgusting. The bathroom clearly hadn't been cleaned, with urine and hairs all around the toilet. There were stains on the sheets, and a cup of ramen noodles had been left in the microwave for days. When we opened it, it smelled terrible. The manager came by but said nothing, didn't apologize, and didn't seem embarrassed. He just accepted that we were leaving. I saw claims on Hotels.com that looked like fake reviews or lies, and after I posted my own review there, it was removed the next day. I won't trust Hotels.com.

I was there for about five minutes before booking another hotel nearby. The bed had nasty stains, the toilet and bathtub were disgusting, and there was a whole thing of ramen noodles stinking up the microwave. I guessed the previous guest was heating dinner, took one look around, and left so fast they forgot it. When I told the guy at check-in how filthy the place was, he had nothing to say, not even an apology. That makes me think they knew they were renting out rooms without cleaning them. I would never stay here.
