Days Inn by Wyndham Fort Walton Beach

That first welcome really made an impression. I checked in at night, and TiTii, whose name I may not have spelled right, made me feel at home right away. She was courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. I’ve enjoyed my stay for other reasons too, but I wanted to thank her for doing such a great job.

Roh was a delight at check-in and very helpful. The pool is tucked into a back area with no exit, which made the property feel more private, something I especially liked since I had my dog with me. There’s no breakfast, but dogs are allowed for a daily fee, and Slim Chickens right across the street was really, really good. Lots of things are close enough to reach by car or even on foot. We didn’t have any major issues, though the warm water stopped working, and it got loud after midnight. Some questionable people were hanging around, but nobody bothered us. That’s not really the hotel’s fault, though you do get what you pay for. I’d stay again.

They’re refusing to refund the $160 I paid, even though I returned my key immediately and did not spend 45 minutes in the room. A month later, they’re claiming I checked in early and that a fee had been waived, though nobody told me about a fee when I asked. The front desk had said I could get a refund through the travel booking site, and I contacted them and gave them the staff member’s name. I’ve stayed at plenty of Days Inn locations that were clean, friendly, and enjoyable, but this one was disgusting. I checked in, went up, and came right back down to report the dirt and roaches. Don’t visit this hotel. There are better options nearby.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the price was good. The coffee tasted like dirty water, though. Cars and people outside made some noise, but that wasn’t the hotel’s fault.
