Our stay in Room 303 was awful. We booked through Southern Vacation Rentals. The condo was dirty, and people were loud past the noise ordinance. The pool was extremely cold and dirty, and getting to the beach meant going up and down stairs, which may be hard for some people. The area also felt unsafe even though it’s gated. Our tent was stolen within five minutes of leaving our things outside by the car, so watch your belongings the whole time. I don’t recommend staying here. I’m sharing what happened to help future guests make an informed decision.

Booking through Brooks and Shorey was easy, and their communication was excellent. Dune Pointe is close to everything but still tucked away from the busy areas. The building is small, so it felt peaceful and never overcrowded. Our beachfront condo was clean and quiet, with amazing views. It was everything we hoped for and a great spot for a relaxing beach getaway.

We stayed at Dune Pointe in May 2024. It’s a very quaint property, and we loved Salty Cowboy and the owner. The buildings on either side did limit our view, which was the one thing we didn’t like. We may return one day, and it would be to Salty Cowboy.

I don’t even want to give this place one star. Our family had two condos rented, but they wouldn’t let everyone gather in one for lunch and a chat. The HOA head called or texted us twice a day about how many people were in the condo. They were watching us on camera, and it felt like a huge invasion of privacy. We had too many kids, I’ll admit, but they’re kids. They said it was because of fire code and capacity, and that all three of my kids together weighed 100 pounds. This is not a family place. It got so bad that we left and rented another condo two days into our six-night stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Salty Cowboy. The room was cozy, the atmosphere was clean, and the service was wonderful. My one complaint is the elevator. It’s terrifying and seems to have a lot of problems, judging by other reviews.
