After the long, tiring drive from Texas, I was able to check in early and get some sleep before dinner at The Shack. The food there was AMAZING. I kept it KETO and got the Blackened Shrimp and Red Fish with asparagus and a side salad. My kitty Darth Vader loved the room too. I paid a pet fee, and the stay at Sleep Inn Ft Walton Beach Florida was great. The room was perfect, very clean, and very nice. Fabian at the front desk was warm and so kind. Thanks, Fabian! I spent four nights here for work and had a pleasant stay without any issues. The room was clean and up to date, there was plenty of parking to choose from, and the staff I met were very nice. The rate was very good for this beach area at this time of year. Plenty of restaurants and gas stations are nearby.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the AC was nice and cool, but the noise kept me from getting much sleep. There was banging and stomping overhead all night, and I could hear it travel down through the wall. Maybe the insulation is poor, I’m not sure. I called the front desk around 1 a.m., but the noise didn’t stop. If you care about getting sleep, I’d avoid this place.

I stayed in room 210 for four days in October and got attacked by bedbugs. I had bites all over my legs, back, and under my arms. When I showed the front desk proof, they didn’t care. I’ve called more than a dozen times over three weeks trying to reach Manager Rick. There’s always some excuse why he can’t talk, and the front desk keeps saying he’ll call me back, but he never has. Not once. Every front desk person I dealt with, on every shift, was rude and unprofessional. They act like it’s “just a job” to them. You’ve been warned!
