Marina Bay Resort

Our bay-facing room had a lovely view, and the Marina Bay staff were excellent and accommodating when our travel plans were delayed and we needed extra linens. There are several little places to eat and shop within walking distance. The main problem was the air conditioning: it couldn't move enough air, and the room and our clothes felt damp the whole time. The stay did what we needed, and the staff were excellent.

The rooms were small and dated, but perfectly fine overall. We had four people and were given only one or two towels, plus a tiny bottle each of shampoo and body wash, so bring extras. We stayed two nights and got no room service or fresh towels. The coffee and donut shop is walkable, and there's a convenience store across the road.

I had a double-bed room with new carpet, comfortable beds, a good-sized tub, and a clean, nice-smelling room. The staff were very nice and did what they could to accommodate us. I loved the pool view, and the views behind the hotel are amazing. The lobby closes between 3 and 5, but on-call staff are available if needed. I'd get pool towels before it closes, though, since I personally don't like calling someone for them. The laundry room was clean, air-conditioned, and had comfortable chairs.

We left without spending the night. My sister and I first spotted a roach on the bed and thought one might be a fluke. When we came back after stepping out, she picked up her computer bag and tons of roaches scattered from underneath it. We were disgusted. There was nobody at the front desk for several hours in the middle of the afternoon. We called and left a message, but never got a response, so we found a cleaner, better hotel. DO NOT GO HERE!
