Waters Edge Condominiums by Wyndham Vacation Rentals

This was our second stay. The place is clean, and the maintenance staff are always kind and helpful. Great pool and location too.

The only real plus was how close the condo was to the pool and beach. It was very dirty. We found hair in the refrigerator and bathrooms, which we cleaned ourselves, then discovered bloodstained sheets. Housekeeping replaced those and the bunk bed sheets the next day. The next morning we found a cockroach in the pots and pans cabinet. Customer service brushed it off as “it looks like a beetle,” and nobody dealt with it. We tried to spend as little time in the condo as we could, then left early after finding another cockroach crawling on the counter near our food. The parking spaces are very tight for a truck or large SUV, though that wasn’t a major concern. We followed up through the rental management company about the sheets and cockroaches, and they offered us the $80 cleaning fee. We won’t return.

#415 was a cozy one bedroom with two bathrooms, and plenty of room for up to six. It was fully stocked with dishes, Tupperware, a stove, fridge, and washer-dryer. The view, centered over the walkway, was amazing. My complaints: the bed was very uncomfortable for a seven-night stay, the AC didn’t cool the bedroom well, and hallway lights came through because the bedroom needs a blackout curtain. The closet was packed full of extra bedding and other stuff, so I had to shove some under the bed to hang my clothes.

We stayed in 116, and there was lots of space for our family of seven. The condo, grounds, and pool were all amazingly clean. The Gulf is right there, with plenty of shops close by, and it was pretty quiet, which matters a lot in a condo or hotel. The maintenance guys were wonderful, answered our questions, and helped us out a few times. We’ll be back!
