Best Western Country Inn

We’ll be back. It was quiet and clean, with plenty of staff around, and the breakfast was good. Being right on the river meant lots of places to walk the dogs, plus there’s a little dog area at the hotel. The hot tubs were hot, and I liked that the pool is half indoors and half outdoors.

We had a nice stay in a clean room with a comfortable bed and working A/C. The pool and jacuzzi were clean and open until 10 pm. Coffee and breakfast were simple but good, and all the staff were friendly and accommodating. It’s an easy walk to Eel River brewing and the scenic river walk, which is also a good trail for walking, running, or dogs. A dependable choice in Fortuna, and I’d recommend it for the area.

I liked the laminate flooring in our room since it’s easier to clean than carpet, and it’s pet friendly. The late checkout limit was disappointing, though. Staying past 11:30 am costs an extra $20.

The rooms were clean, and I liked having laundry available. A wash cost $4.50, and the hot tub was nice.
