Character is what made the stay for us. The setting and architecture are gorgeous, and the place feels quaint, charming, and romantic. Our room looked just like the website photos. It wasn't new, but it was clean, well cared for, and roomy enough to spread out. The pool and hot tub are small, though we enjoyed them, and the staff were friendly and helpful every time we interacted with them. We stayed in March 2026 and had a fantastic time. The “boutique resort” description fits. Food takes some planning, though. Pietros was delicious, but it's rarely open, which I hadn't realized when booking. Its website lists the opening days and hours. We tried breakfast once at the Eagle Mountain Golf Course and didn't enjoy it, so we won't eat there again. Expect to leave the resort for most meals, and we really needed a rental car. Even with the food and convenience drawbacks, we'd happily return. The place makes up for them with its character.

The suite was amazing and the sunrise was beautiful, but I wouldn't call this a resort and I won't stay again. I have a hard time with stairs and uneven ground because I'm disabled, and the entire parking lot was uneven. I almost fell several times. We also couldn't use the shower and bath close together without losing hot water. After even a quick five-minute rinse, we had to wait 10-15 minutes before running a hot bath, and it worked the same way in reverse. This was a March 2026 birthday getaway my husband planned to help me de-stress. I'm a mom of four, a grandma of one, and have medical issues, so life is crazy. The suite looked beautiful when we checked in, but then we had trouble getting dinner. There was no phone in the room, so we tried the website and called the BBQ place listed as delivering to the door. They were very nice, but told us they hadn't offered delivery to the “resort” for years, even though the Inn at Eagle Mountain website still says they do. I called the front desk on my cell and was told there was no room service. They have an Italian restaurant beside the front office, where you can order and carry the food back to your room. My husband booked specifically because the site advertised room service. With all the frustration, we ate off site and they lost over $200 from us over our two nights. On the second day, I asked for extra towels and was told to come get them at the front office. Even Motel 6 will bring towels to my room. I'm sorry this review ran long, but people should know what to expect.

The other staff were great, and the resort itself had potential to make for a nice vacation. But “Jerry” at the front desk was rude repeatedly and spoiled it for everyone. Other guests mentioned his rudeness before I experienced it myself, and resort guests laughed about his mean-spirited, unprofessional behavior. I can provide a list of the comments he made. Maybe Jerry is the manager, or thinks he's indispensable. We're easygoing, nice people, and I see no excuse for how he acted. He shouldn't be the face of the resort. This can't be his first complaint.

We had a lovely four-night stay and plenty of good restaurants nearby. The front desk helped us find a suitable room for our service animal, and we enjoyed the resort's pool and jacuzzi. The jacuzzi looks out over the golf course. Our one-bedroom unit was first class, though I didn't take any pictures. The bedding was soft, the bed was firm in just the way we like, and we enjoyed every moment there.

The front desk staff were nice, and the room was clean, but the interior felt like stepping back into the 1950s. The showerhead and bathtub seem not to have been updated in a long time, so the rooms look much older than the well-kept exterior. The resort sits on lovely grounds near the outskirts of Scottsdale. I just wish they'd refreshed the amenities inside. If you want a more updated hotel, I wouldn't choose this one.
