Hampton Inn Hagerstown-I-81

We come here twice a year with our scrapbooking group, and the hospitality keeps us coming back. Bruce from maintenance helps us get set up and brings us ice, and the breakfast attendant even offered to make me a waffle. The front desk staff are so friendly and accommodating, and I’ve never needed to ask for anything in my room. We’ll be back in the fall.

Every time I stay, the place is super clean. Ms. Debora was a great help with the room maintenance, and Bruce deserves thanks too. I see “the professionalism without any compromise” in how the team treats customers, prepares breakfast, and cleans rooms. I’ll come back.

The breakfast was a standout, with real oatmeal rather than instant, plus fresh fruit, nuts, waffles, bacon, eggs, and the usual choices. The person looking after breakfast was pleasant and helpful, with a nice smile and manner, and the front desk staff were just as welcoming. We’d been impressed by a Hampton Inn in Newburg NY on 10/19/25, so we chose the Hampton Inn I-81 in Hagerstown MD on our return trip, 10/30/25, and weren’t disappointed. The hotel was clean from the entrance through the bathrooms. Our room was quiet and well appointed, with plenty of towels and hot water. I’d certainly recommend it.

The room was clean and otherwise good, and breakfast had the usual hot and cold hotel options. The bed was much too firm for my back, though my wife was fine with it. We like having a restaurant within a short walk after a long drive, and that wasn’t an option here, though there are many places to eat a short drive away. Cheryl, the night manager, made me feel especially welcome when I was up very early. She brewed fresh coffee just for me, then offered to heat the food I’d bought in the kitchen so I wouldn’t wake my wife. Ella at the desk deserves a mention too. She was busy during check-in but handled each customer professionally and with a smile. Even with a difficult customer, she kept the same approach. She’s a great representative of the Hilton brand.
