At what we pay each year and roughly $700 a night for a three bedroom unit, I expect better upkeep, safety, amenities, and service. That price feels steep, especially off season, and some thoughtful upgrades wouldn't take much. We arrived after dark, and none of the three entry switches worked. We had to use phone flashlights and cross a dark room to find a working switch, which wasn't safe with our one year old. Missing outlet faceplates were another hazard. As a general contractor, I noticed plenty of maintenance issues: the sheets were worn and had holes in them. My whole family wanted to play pickleball, but the resort only had six paddles, and one was broken and taped together. We stopped for groceries on the way, backed into a spot, and unloaded nine suitcases and all the groceries onto the sidewalk. Just as we finished, the sprinklers came on and soaked everything. The heads near that parking area looked broken, making it worse. I also had something stolen by the pool. There were no cameras, and staff couldn't offer meaningful help. I was told to check lost and found and sent around looking. Later I noticed sandals I'd found and turned in were left behind the main desk for four days, which didn't make me confident in how things are handled. A lost key card costs $10, which stands out when most hotels don't charge for one.

I've been coming here for about eight years and have no regrets about buying a timeshare. I've heard plenty of negative things about timeshares, but it works for me. We spend several weeks here and always have a great time. Everything we need is on the property or within a few miles. The rooms are always clean, the amenities spotless, and the food has always been fresh and hot.
The staff were nice when we actually got to interact with them, but we could rarely get anyone to answer the phone at the front desk or at the brunch restaurant. For $25, the brunch at the “premium restaurant” was eggs, potatoes, sausage, bacon, waffles, and a few doughnuts. The clubhouse and pool area near it were nice, but the rest of the resort was a letdown. I booked through Exploria resorts at Summer Bay Orlando for almost $1,000, bringing my daughter and four grandchildren because of the advertised activities for kids. We especially wanted the blow up water course, which we were told had been removed years ago after a hurricane, yet it's still in the pictures. Buccaneer Bay was a joke and seemed a bit unsafe to my granddaughter. My son in law said five guys sat in a booth on their phones, not looking like they wanted to work. The water park wasn't what we expected. Our room was dated and very dirty, and getting towels or dish soap was slow. I'd specifically paid more for a pool view, but they put us behind the pool equipment instead. They're remodeling and have updated some rooms. As a full price customer, I thought we might get one of those. This place could be great, but as it is, everything feels overrated.
My kids are attached to this resort now and say it's the only place they want to stay. They love the activities on the property, and the staff are excellent. Steven was especially wonderful. The kids were sick for the first part of our December trip, and he was patient and kind through all my calls to the front desk. I called today with a question about a future reservation, and he was just as helpful.
We fell for this resort during our one week Christmas trip in December 2025. The rooms were spacious and amazing, and everyone on staff was friendly. Its location was convenient, with a shuttle to selected theme parks and stores either within walking distance or a short five minute drive. We enjoyed the food on site, too. We're going to try to get the same rooms again this year 😍
