Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Kissimmee Gateway

We were in the L wing with our two children, and the front desk concierge was splendid. The beds were clean and comfortable, and even the lotions and soaps smelled lovely. The Mickey waffles at breakfast were delicious and a big hit. Our only small snag was that the dining table had just two chairs, so after a long day at Disney we went out for dinner instead of eating in the room.

The full kitchen and in-room washer and dryer made this a worthwhile stay for my family, and breakfast was included. Our room was spacious, clean, and had the amenities we needed. We booked at the last minute after a terrible experience at another hotel, and I’m glad this location had a room available. The front desk staff were accommodating and let us check in early. We plan to return.

The breakfast attendant made mornings easier. She remembered my toddler’s name and even gave him a toy that helped settle a couple of tantrums. Staff were very good, and I’d stay here again, especially with Disney so close. The sheets, toilet, and shower were clean, though the floors looked like they hadn’t been cleaned much and the bathroom walls needed attention. Overall, I liked the hotel.

The staff were accommodating and friendly, greeting us and checking briefly whether we needed anything, without being intrusive. Our renovated room felt fresh and modern, and I loved having a full-size fridge. The beds were very comfortable, though it’s hard to match the Tempur-Pedic we have at home.
