The room was cozy and modern, with a great hot shower, and the property was quiet with plenty of parking. Housekeeping comes on Tuesdays for occupied rooms; the staff were nice about replacing towels or bringing trash bags when asked. There’s a 24-hour laundry room in the main building with three washers and three dryers, tap-to-pay, and key-card access. Breakfast runs 6:30-9:30. It gets hectic around 7, so earlier is better. The spread is standard: bagels, toast, cinnamon buns, scrambled eggs, sausage links, and potatoes. There are two pancake machines, and they get busy too. The pools were clean and sanitized. The water felt cold at first, but was okay. Smoking is allowed in the pool areas, so consider that if your kids are sensitive to it. There are also two EV chargers near the main lobby, J1172, at 10 kW for an EV Bolt through the app. It costs a $1 connection fee plus 40 cents per kW, not cheap, but convenient. The parks and downtown Orlando are roughly 45 minutes away. Traffic can make getting anywhere in Orlando take about 30 minutes. They do offer timeshare presentations; we didn’t have time, but make sure the length and timing of the gift are clear. Pleasant stay, and I’d come back.

The place was clean and quiet, and parking was easy. The breakfast, though, was horrible: overcooked eggs, bland lumpy gravy, a slightly hard biscuit, and hardly any variety. The comforter didn’t feel fully dry, like it could have used more time in the dryer, and the hallway smelled damp.

The constant timeshare sales pitches made the stay uncomfortable and too focused on selling instead of helping guests. Breakfast was frustrating too, with very few choices, and when I asked whether they could put out more eggs, a staff member answered rudely and unprofessionally. The room had problems from the start: the tub wouldn’t drain properly, and several electrical outlets didn’t work. Taken together, the maintenance trouble, poor service, and sales pressure made this a very disappointing visit. I wouldn’t recommend this Holiday Inn Express.

The staff were so friendly and ready to answer questions, and the housekeeper was especially sweet. We had a great room with a lovely sunset view, clean beds, and everything felt up to date. It’s in a beautiful, safe, clean area with lots to do, including mini golf, tennis, and several pools. There are nice places to walk the dog, and other guests were friendly too. Publix is a short walk or drive away, and SeaWorld and Disney are about 30 minutes out. I’d pick this hotel again if I return to Orlando.
