Holiday Inn Express Orlando S. Davenport

I booked through Priceline for an overnight after a Halloween performance in Orlando, since it started at 8 pm and I didn’t want to drive all the way home afterward. Priceline assigned one of its blind hotels, so I didn’t know which place I’d booked until after reserving. It turned out to be clean and comfortable, with free breakfast. My only issue was with the pet-friendly filter on Priceline. I had selected it, but this hotel doesn’t accept pets. Luckily I found that out before leaving home and could make sure my dog was safe and properly cared for. The hotel was close enough to keep my plans manageable, but far enough from the main roads that I didn’t hear the noise. I’d recommend it.

Our collegiate baseball group, 63 coaches, players, and staff, comes back to this Holiday Inn every year. The team is centrally located here, and the hotel is clean. If we need anything, we just ask. Most of all, the staff have looked after us year after year, never giving us an issue, and have come to feel like family. On behalf of the whole team, thank you for everything! After a long drive, I was exhausted and had no real help getting checked in. The desk agent told me to “call my company” in a dismissive tone, so I ended up using my personal credit card just to get into the room. This all started when I was told my reservation wasn’t paid, despite having proof and a valid receipt. I explained that my large, well-known multimillion-dollar company books travel regularly and this had never happened before, but no one tried to verify or resolve it. I was asked several times to email the confirmation, yet the hotel’s email kept bouncing as undeliverable. Instead of finding another way to help, the front desk agent left me waiting while assisting other guests and showed little urgency. Very frustrating and unprofessional, with a poor attitude and no problem-solving.

Tisha deserves a special mention. She was professional, warm, and attentive, and made me feel valued as a guest. The rest of the staff also went out of their way to make me comfortable, and the whole hotel felt clean, welcoming, and well cared for. My room was beautifully designed and spotless, the bed was super comfortable, and the amenities were top-notch. The atmosphere felt relaxing and classy. I had an amazing stay from check-in to check-out, and I’ll be back and recommending the hotel to everyone I know.
