Homewood Suites by Hilton Orlando at Flamingo Crossings

There’s plenty of space to rest and spread out in the clean, roomy suite, with a living area, kitchen, and bedroom, which we badly needed after walking 25,000+ steps at the parks. The free breakfast and 24x7 tea and coffee were handy, and the spacious pool with a water slide is a nice place to unwind between park days. The hotel also runs a shuttle to the park twice each morning, though we preferred Uber to avoid extra stops. The staff were always ready to help. The Flamingo Crossing location is right outside the main WDW resort area. Target and Walgreens are a two-minute walk away, and there are restaurants and fast food nearby for a late dinner. Lyft or Uber to each resort was easy and relatively cheap compared with $35-$40 park parking, and being dropped at the entrance was efficient. This is an affordable off-property hotel with great value for a Walt Disney World family trip. Highly recommend!

The location is superb for getting to Disney, with lots of restaurants nearby. The lobby is gorgeous, and the free breakfast was one of the best spreads we’ve had. The room was spacious and nice, and the staff were kind. When we asked, they granted a two-hour late checkout. After we reported the ants, they offered us another room, which was a kind gesture. There were tiny ants coming through a gap by the bathroom wall and baseboard, and more all over the countertops. The bathroom also needed upkeep, with a toilet paper holder coming out of the wall. We weren’t told housekeeping wasn’t daily, so we ran out of towels. Housekeeping knocked at 10:21 am asking if we were still there, even though she said she knew we had late checkout; regular checkout was 11 am. Housekeeping and maintenance seem to be the main issues. This could be a five-star stay. I’d come back with some hesitation and would inspect the room carefully before unpacking.

Lynn at the front desk greeted us with such a warm welcome, the sweetest, kindest person. We’d just left Wilderness lodge at Disney world, and this room had tons of space compared with how cramped we’d felt there. I could even see fire works from my room. The place has Disney-like touches in the lobby and feels like a Disney hotel just outside the gate. Breakfast is included, there’s a wonderful pool, and for the price it’s hard to beat. It feels like a resort.

The room was huge, with a full kitchen, all the utensils you need, and a full-size fridge. I liked seeing my name on the TV welcome screen. There’s ample parking, a 24-hour gym, and laundry facilities. I didn’t use the pool, but it looked great. Breakfast was amazing, with lots of fresh, well-organized choices for everyone, and a great start before heading out. The location is right next to Flamingo Crossings, with plenty of restaurants and amenities, plus Target and Walgreens within walking distance. The parks are 10-15 minutes away by car, and the hotel also offers shuttle buses. For a spacious Disney trip stay with competitive pricing compared with Disney property, this was a pleasant surprise. I wouldn’t change a thing and will definitely stay here again when I’m in Orlando.
