Quality Inn Clermont West Kissimmee

There was a large blood spot on the headboard, and the room was filthy. We went back to the front desk and checked out without staying. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

The location was convenient, just six minutes from our lacrosse tournament, and the front desk person on day one was very nice. Still, I wouldn’t recommend this place. We’ve stayed at Quality Inn’s before and never been disappointed, but this one shocked me as soon as we drove in. The Booking.com photos were misleading, the rooms are quite small and need updating, and the grounds aren’t well kept. Our room smelled like mold. There was no overnight front desk worker when I went down for extra towels. We booked two nights and expected fresh towels and new sheets from room service when we returned from the tournament, but didn’t get them.

The room was fine, a bit dated, which doesn’t bother me since things seem to age faster in Florida. The sheets were clean and the bed comfortable, and I found no bugs during my usual hotel bed bug check. Housekeeping could detail clean more often, especially around and behind the nightstands. I understand they’re short staffed. The front desk attendant was genuinely warm, helpful, and kind, with a great smile. The hotel was easy to reach and close to everything in the area. It seems like a good budget vacation option, and I’d come back.

It was quiet and served as a place to sleep, but I’d rather not stay again. The lobby was tiny and dark when we arrived around 9pm, and I wish it had better lighting. The man who checked us in was nice. Our room had a smell that seemed like it would take rebuilding the place to get rid of. They provide fresh towels on request every three days to save water, which is fine, though the shower leaked. At least someone fixed the fallen toilet paper holder without us asking. The room was clean enough, but bring your own soap and drinking water. If you like firm pillows, bring one. For a king room with a pullout bed, make sure to get the sheets from the front desk. Breakfast lacked fruit, though there was a picture of apples, and they put out Hostess donuts, which seemed odd. There were waffles but no protein. I didn’t expect much, like I said, it’s a place to lay your head. The top lock was missing, so we put a chair in front of the door. The shower curtain was missing its liner too. I’m sure the owners are doing what they can, you know, living the American dream. If you can spend a little more, do it. Otherwise, at least it’s somewhere to rest.
