Orange Lake Resort

We always have a relaxing few days here. The villas are clean and have everything we need, like a home away from home. It’s family friendly, with a great pool for kids of all ages, even my 8 month old. The poolside bar is convenient, the staff are always friendly, and now you can order a drink right from the pool.

We’ve been spending Christmas here for the past 4 years with our 14 yr old daughter, and Orange Lake always gives us a reason to return. The service and amenities are amazing, and our villa has always been super clean. We love the two mini golf courses, the lazy river, and all the activities around it. Krystal at the front desk was by far the most helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly person we’ve ever dealt with on any of our trips. We’re a family from Canada who travels a lot, so that really says something.

The resorts themselves are fine, but be careful with the sales and financing. I thought I was agreeing to around $10k-$11k, then later realized the high interest meant the real cost over time was closer to $30k. The presentation didn’t make that clear in plain language. The pitch is all about monthly payments and urgency, rather than the total you’ll pay. A year later I was pressured to upgrade, with claims that it would “fix” the problem. It doesn’t, it just adds more debt. Maybe it’s legal, but it feels deeply misleading and predatory. If you’re in a presentation now, don’t sign. Take the contract home and work out the TOTAL cost. The rooms and pools are nice, but the time share meeting went on for hours longer than promised and was very high pressure. Mini golf wasn’t good, with few obstacles and a really fast course. I paid for 19 holes but quit after 6.
