Ramada by Wyndham Kissimmee Gateway

The rooms badly need renovation, and my experience with management was even more disappointing. I booked Saturday through Thursday but left on Monday because the room was outdated, worn and poorly maintained. I raised the issue when I arrived, and management showed me another room in the tower that was just as old and disappointing. There was no meaningful attempt to make things right, no discount or compensation for having to pack up and leave early. I was still charged for the rest of the booking, even though I checked out days before it ended. The only money returned was about $40 in resort fees. After paying to move to another hotel, I expected some concern or accountability, but got poor attitudes and no willingness to help. I left extremely dissatisfied and wouldn’t recommend the property. Save your money and stay elsewhere.

This is our go-to now, and the prices are great. The beds are comfy, it’s clean, and the staff are really friendly and kind. The rooms smell a little damp, though that’s pretty common at Florida hotels along the Irlo strip with carpet. The pillows were old and lumpy, too, and could use an update. We’ll still be back. We love this hotel!

We needed a room at the last minute for me and my two girls, and got a great price. We checked in at almost 2am, and Dolton at the front desk was amazing. He helped us with everything we needed, even that late. Thanks again, Dolton. I’d definitely come back to this location. We actually had a hard time wanting to leave! I’d give them 10 stars if I could, and Dolton 11.

The location worked perfectly for my plans in Orlando, and room service was excellent. The rooms are a little old, but they’re kept up really well, and the cleaning staff were exceptionally professional. The main drawback for me was the reception staff, who need to improve a lot in their communication skills.
