High Point World Resort

It’s a quiet resort with low occupancy, and the rooms are spacious, with clean linens. The two-bedroom units even have three full bathrooms. We stayed in October 2025 and weren’t charged a security deposit or daily report fee. The resort is dated but well maintained and very close to the entertainment parks. There isn’t much for kids beyond the swimming pool and tennis court: no game room, mini golf, billiards, or other entertainment. Concierge service runs only from 8:30 to 5:30, though they responded promptly to emergencies after hours. Front desk staff were courteous and helpful.

The rooms are dated, but clean and well kept. The grounds looked a bit overgrown, and the pool isn’t heated in colder seasons. It works well enough if you’re spending most of your time at the park. We haven’t needed much, but the front desk staff have been nice and quick to handle our few requests.

The location is great, the front desk staff are good, and the townhouse is roomy. It was clean apart from the blankets and mattress pad, which they don’t wash between visits, only the sheets. That felt gross. The resort and room amenities are nice, but the rooms could use some updating and still have old carpeting.

Sally at the front desk was excellent, and everyone else we met was friendly too. The resort sits well away from the road, so it was really quiet and a nice place to unwind on vacation.
