There’s a deposit, and the rates feel average to a little high. The rooms are spacious, with a mini microwave and fridge. TVs differ from room to room, but the Wi-Fi and TV or cable usually work. It’s mostly quiet, though there’s some construction noise and traffic from 192. The outdoor pool gets sun, so it should be fairly warm in spring and summer. Dogs are allowed for a fee.

The remodeled rooms were clean and nicely furnished, and the employees were great. It was quiet and a very good price, with plenty of places to eat nearby. Try the Lazy Dog restaurant, it has a nice atmosphere and reasonable prices. Eric from Lombard IL

I felt unsafe and dirty here, and the whole place gave me a bad feeling. The staff, though, were super nice, especially the older man on duty that night. He seemed caring, but also almost worried about me, which made me wonder if I was safe. Booking.com showed good reviews, so I was shocked when I arrived and found a woman's belongings in the first room. She wasn't there, and it felt eerie. I alerted the staff and was moved to room 229. Roaches were everywhere. I had to get online to work, so I didn't leave right away, but the room wasn't clean: there were dead roaches on the towels. When I tried to eat lunch at the little table, more roaches came out toward me. It was scary for real. The other guests also made the place feel sketchy, and the doors looked as if they had been kicked in many times. Luckily, Booking contacted the front desk, and the hotel agreed to refund me and let me stay free that day while I found somewhere else.

Cecelia greeted me with a cheerful smile at Serena, and booking the room was easy. The location is convenient to both Universal and Disney. Everything was super clean, the Wi-Fi worked as expected, and I slept peacefully without outside noise.
