The Adventure Hotel by the parks

Nick at the front desk and the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. My room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and there’s a nice free breakfast and a gift shop on site. It’s good value, with convenient access to Disney, shopping, and lots of restaurants. I’d definitely recommend it.

The staff were great, and my room was clean, with new flooring and clean bedding. The beds were okay. You can tell the hotel is making an effort, but it’s still a very old place and the updates feel mostly cosmetic rather than a full renovation. I’d stay again, just not for a long visit.

The room smelled awful as soon as we walked in, like mold and cigarettes mixed with something used to cover the smell. The beds were disgusting 🤢. In our room, the entire power outlet came out when I pulled out my phone charger. If you have kids, especially children like mine with eczema, I absolutely wouldn’t recommend this place. The elevators were dirty, the pool area felt outdated, and it looked like the hallways had been painted over while the walls were dirty and wet.

The manager didn’t offer a solution when I raised these problems, and it left me feeling like my concerns weren’t being taken seriously. The air conditioning was cold and pleasant, but it made enough noise to interrupt our sleep. Breakfast was a mixed bag: the Mickey waffles were okay, while the apple juice was basically water. These may not be issues in every room, but they were in ours, and noticeable problems like the tub should be addressed. We had young children and couldn’t use the tub. I wouldn’t let them sit or stand in the bio film left by other guests, so we tried showering instead. At 6 am every morning, the shower was freezing, and on our last morning the water stopped draining. I understand it’s a budget friendly hotel, but at what cost? I’m sharing this so someone else can make an informed choice about where to stay.
