The Grove Resort & Water Park Orlando

After only one day here, I already regret coming. My family has visited for years, and I don't understand what happened to the property since 2024. It has declined badly, and I won't return or recommend it to friends or family. We are eight people, but our room came with only two towels and no sheets, blankets, or bedding for the sofa bed. Guest Services took over two hours to help. The towels arrived very late, so we had to share, and some of my family slept on the sofa bed without proper sheets. Housekeeping also skipped our room on the second day, and once again we had to call for clean towels. The hallways smell strongly of humidity and mildew. The carpets look poorly maintained, and the rooms and shared spaces are noticeably dirty. Staff service has been just as disappointing: several people were rude, dismissive, and unprofessional, leaving us feeling like a nuisance instead of returning guests. Parking costs far too much, and the policies seem unreasonable and set up to benefit the hotel. For the premium resort prices, the cleanliness, service, attention to guests, and overall experience are nowhere near the standard this place used to offer. My family once loved coming here and looked forward to it. I expected much better after supporting the resort for so many years.

We came mainly for the kids to use the water park, but it was packed when we arrived and there weren't any lounge chairs. We went back to the main pools instead, which were heated and had a quieter feel. The grounds were clean, and the landscaping is lovely, with plenty of space for evening walks. The staff were nice and helpful. The apartment-style rooms are spacious, with a full kitchen, washer, and dryer, and parking is conveniently close in the garage. The beds were comfortable except for the pullout sofa, whose spring mattress was only two inches thin. We stayed a week and got very little room service, just the kitchen trash changed every two days. Still, it was comfortable, and I'll definitely return.

The resort is nice, but the extra charges and long walks made the stay frustrating. Fresh towels cost extra, even though that should be part of a stay, and pool chairs should be included in the resort fee. Parking should be included in the booking price too. My wife fortunately noticed the fee before we arrived, and guests don't really have another parking option. At least the resort fee itself was included when we booked. We were in building 2, while the pool and Waterpark were beside building 3 on the other side of the resort. The elevator closest to our room had been broken for 3 weeks, so we had to take a long route from the garage. Getting anywhere meant walking well out of the way to the M elevator, which got overcrowded and caused congestion. I also saw two different people smoking weed despite the no-smoking rule, and smelled it several times. Nice place, but I won't be back.

Michelle made our water park visit a lot more enjoyable. She greeted us warmly, kept checking in despite how busy it was, and made sure we were taken care of. She was friendly, attentive, and stayed positive throughout. Her kindness and professionalism really stood out, and the service was excellent. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and we'll definitely come back. Hope we see you again, Michelle. Thanks for making the visit memorable!
