The pool area is awesome, with fun waterslides, including a pretty fast green one, plus a kids’ splash pad. Staff were always friendly and helpful. We stayed in a three bedroom unit with a full kitchen and two bathrooms. Disney parks are very close, about 10 minutes away, and Universal Parks and Seaworld are 25 minutes away, plus however long I-4 is backed up. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.
We were on vacation during MEA, and the resort was close to the theme parks and Walmart, which was handy. The kids’ rooms were nicely decorated, one with a Frozen theme and the other with a Mickey Mouse theme. Our favorite part was the game room, with a basketball court and air hockey, and we had our own pool and hot tub. The resort also has a larger pool and waterpark for guests, but we mostly used our own pool. A few things in the unit were odd. My bathroom didn’t have warm water, though thankfully the other bathrooms did. The standing shower had no built in shelf for toiletries. When my mom cleaned the oven, it smelled weird and smoke came out while we were using it. Maybe it was just brand new, I don’t know. Still, it was a great experience.
The kids spent hours enjoying the waterslide and splash pad. The pool area is spacious, but there are seriously too few chairs, and the hot tub was way too hot, almost unsafe. It’s a nice gated community for families, and the gate adds security, though check in is so slow that you can be stuck waiting in line to get in.
We’re really unhappy. We rented 2120 Lelani Cir through Airbnb at this resort, but the house didn’t match the photos and was very dirty. The pool pump was broken, so even though we paid to heat the pool, we had a dirty pool, no jacuzzi, and freezing cold water. Now we’re being told they can’t cancel the service and might come the next day to fix it. One more thing, there were no bathroom towels in the house.
We had a pleasant stay with no major issues. The pool area was great, and we met some really nice people in the hot tub each night. The houses are nice, and the staff at the gate were all very nice to us, as far as I remember. The location is great too, with Walmart right there, Disney Parks a 5-10 minute drive away, and Universal about 20 minutes away. During Hurricane lan, water started pooling in the ditch by the sliding doorway one night, which worried us. Thankfully, nothing flooded, but we definitely had to keep an eye on it.
