Tuscan Dream

Our experience was the opposite of the negative review below, and everything looked like the pictures. Some condos are advertised as “Tuscana Resort,” which may lead people to expect a hotel. This is a residential condo complex, not a hotel or resort, and the HOA manages the grounds, buildings, pool, and clubhouse. The HOA decides when the pool and clubhouse are open. Pool towels and supplies for the pool or your condo have to come from your condo owner or property manager. Complaints about a condo’s interior should go to its owner and management company, since some may be terrible. Our Vacasa owner/property manager gave us a very clean, modern unit in excellent condition, with only minor wear from constant renting: a tear in the balcony screen, scuffs on the walls, and a damaged refrigerator bin. We had enough starter supplies and lots of towels. The grounds and buildings looked good, with plenty of parking in front and behind. I didn’t notice I-4 noise in our building by the pool. The floors above can be noisy depending on who lives there, and kids upstairs can make it unbearable. Communication with our owner and property manager was excellent. We stayed a month and would come back.

I booked through a timeshare and wouldn’t return or recommend this resort to family. It looks nice, but after paying extra for housekeeping, I found dirty pillows and awful stains on the sheets and pull-out bed. There’s nobody onsite to help after hours, and during our stay they weren’t much help getting clean sheets or a replacement mattress. They promised to sort it out, but nothing happened until the next day, when they brought sheets for the suite’s pull-out bed that hadn’t been provided in the room to begin with. I was supposed to have a two-bedroom, double-bed suite and hadn’t planned to use the pull-out. The office said by text that all the suites were booked, so we had to make do. I wouldn’t put my pet on those pillows or the pull-out bed. The walls are thin, and a dog across from us barked throughout the stay. The beds were uncomfortable and my back hurt the whole vacation. I spent more time chasing help for these problems than getting comfortable. I was fed up.

The AC was hanging off the wall and leaking water everywhere, hot water was scarce, the beds were terrible, and the rooms smelled musty. Dogs barked everywhere until 4 am, and service wouldn’t do anything. There’s nobody to talk to or call because no one is available. The resort looks nothing like the pictures. Absolutely terrible, don’t waste your vacation money here. If you want to be irritated and waste your hard-earned money, this is the place.

The location is fantastic, about 15 minutes from Disney and under 30 from universal studios. There are around a dozen restaurants and bars within a 10-minute drive, plus a restaurant onsite if you’d rather stay in. Nice place to stay.
