Villas at Island Club 3148 C

We had a wonderful two weeks here. The pool was peaceful, with good music playing, and everyone we spoke with was friendly. There are plenty of garbage containers around, so there's no excuse to leave trash lying about. We booked through Airbnb and used the facilities on site. The property is gated, and you need a key to get into the pool area, which made it feel peaceful and safe. It's an easy drive to Disney, while still being far enough away to get some distance from it. Highly recommend.

The condo was dirty, with mold, sand and hair on the beds. We told the front desk and sent the pictures they asked for. Then Barbara Patterson, who said she was the manager, called and told us to leave because we'd sent those unpleasant photos. After our exhausting eight-hour drive, we asked if they could at least change the comforter. She refused and demanded we leave immediately. That was rude and completely unprofessional. If a place you paid to sleep in is dirty, of course you're going to say something. They should accept constructive criticism and do something to help their customers. Do better.

I wouldn't recommend this place, especially for families with kids. At 7 pm, while the sun was still high, we got to the pool area and a man who said he was with the HOA told us we couldn't be there. He said he wasn't going to come back to lock the gates if he was already out there, then made the situation so uncomfortable that we left. The next night, at a meeting by the second pool, we were told the HOA was out of money and trying to find everyone in violation so it could fix up its own areas. It was an absolute joke.

It's a nice vacation spot, but cutting the grass at 7:30 am was unbelievable. I didn't want to listen to that so early, and the management needs to change this. They got our cars so dirty. Big minus.
