Sybaris Frankfort

For my birthday, my boyfriend booked a suite for February 8th-10th. The room looked beautiful, with rose petals on the bed, and the large shower and steam room were the one part I really enjoyed. But the toilet backed up, the pool was freezing, and the hot tub took forever to get even warm. The Wi-Fi didn’t work, and because both TVs depended on it, I couldn’t watch the Superbowl. The next day they kept saying they were fixing it, but it never came back. They eventually fixed the toilet. The room fans didn’t work, the walls were sweating, and it was so humid. The stereo barely connected, so we used our phones for entertainment. There wasn’t anything fun nearby, and the area nail salons all had horrible reviews. We checked out early because we’d had enough. We couldn’t keep the robes, either. My boyfriend spent over $1,200 on my birthday for this, and I didn’t enjoy myself much.

We had a great stay in a very clean, romantic room with lots of nice amenities. For $500+ a night, though, I expected better service. We couldn’t find any switch to turn on the fireplace, and the person we called didn’t seem to know how. They said they’d contact someone and call back, but never did.

We had a really nice time. The place was very clean and secure, the pool was comfortably warm, and the massage chairs were so relaxing.

My prepaid stay came with an assigned parking spot, but someone else had taken it. I ended up in a space marked for employees. The clerk said there was nothing he could do and called management at home. We went back and forth, but there was no resolution, so I had to leave the car in the employee spot.
