Belquis kept breakfast stocked and paid attention when options were running low. Every morning it was hot, delicious, and there was a huge selection. Nellie also helped with after-hours issues, including noisy guests and things in the room that weren't working, and knew the surrounding area well. We stayed at the Homewood Suites Somerset by Hilton from December 19th to the 26th. There was some confusion over a reservation under the wrong name: we were told Priceline had cancelled it, while Priceline said Hilton had. Lesley at the front desk connected the dots and got us checked in after a six-hour drive. Huge thanks to her for solving it so quickly. My only gripe is that the property seemed to need TCL and repairs. Otherwise it's in a great location, feels safe, and the staff are welcoming and helpful. I'd recommend it.

Nelly at the front desk checked me in with a smile and was so friendly to talk to. Front desk staff can really shape a hotel stay, and she made my day. Thanks for the great service to me and my guest. I'll be back because of you!

The room was clean overall, though there were wet wrappers or cleaning swabs left in a shower corner. I didn't try to figure out what they were. Breakfast was the one redeeming part. The pool area was dirty each day, with the previous night's mess still there. By the end of my three-night stay, the water looked so murky and gross that I didn't want to go near it. Towels weren't restocked in the morning. I called at 8 am for some, even though the pool opens at 6 am, and was told I'd have to wait for the head house cleaner to arrive. I left after a few minutes, wet and cold. I sent pictures of the mess and got no response. They also changed my reserved room at the last minute, which I didn't appreciate. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you want a clean pool and hot tub.

There's plenty of parking, and they even had a social hour with free food in the evening. The hotel is very central in Somerset, near Rutgers University. Rooms are large, very clean and have kitchens. Everything was tidy and well organized. I'll definitely stay again.

We were on the road and needed a place for one night that would take our dog. They gladly welcomed her. The room was clean, spacious and quiet, and gave us what we needed for a comfortable stay. Thanks!
