Sleep Inn & Suites Milwaukee/Franklin

The road beside this hotel is obnoxiously loud. Inside, you can hear people upstairs walking, stomping, and moving around. If they're having sex, you'll hear all of that too. Clearly this was built as a budget hotel.

The rooms are nice and the staff friendly. It's been great since the first night, so sometimes the finish matters more than the start. We did have a rough start, though: the hotel overbooked despite our booking three months ahead. We got a room we hadn't wanted for the first night, then had to pack up and move the next day. I asked for a room away from the road when they moved us, since sleeping there would be a problem. If they couldn't accommodate that, I wondered why I should accommodate them. Also, I called for more towels because two wasn't enough for three people, and was told they'd trade them for dirty ones. It was only day one, so we had no dirty towels yet. A strange answer, and it made me wonder if they were short on towels. The rest of the stay went well.

It was quiet and really nice, and the staff were always kind and fun. The woman working the early breakfast shift was especially great, and breakfast was consistently on point. The kids liked the pool, and having free guest laundry was a huge bonus for me. We were too busy enjoying the stay to take photos.

The staff were super, and breakfast was perfect. The hotel seemed fairly new and everything looked so clean. I wasn’t there for the baseball tournaments, but it was fun to watch the games right outside my window throughout the day from my air-conditioned room.
