Meadowridge Resort

The place was reasonably clean and acceptable if you want a decent price and a free shuttle that runs regularly. The receptionist gave us plenty of useful information, though her directions for finding the property weren’t helpful. The unit itself felt badly run down. The furniture, appliances, beds, heater, and water heater all need serious remodeling, and even the decor looked depressing. Closet doors were barely attached to their metal rails, and the fireplace screen was broken. There was a direct grill on the stovetop, surprisingly, but no tongs for cooking meat. We booked late, which was our mistake, and it taught me to reserve earlier so we don’t end up somewhere like this again. Even with a repeat-visitor discount, this wouldn’t be our first choice next time.

We had the time of our lives here during a bachelor’s party weekend. The rooms were quaint and suited our needs, and the facilities worked well for our stay. Our hosts were incredibly nice and patient, answered all our questions, and made sure we were looked after.

The pool complex staff were fantastic, and the heated water made swimming really enjoyable. The kids wanted to go every afternoon. It was an easy walk from our unit and back, and the resort is conveniently close to everything in Winterpark. We spent a long weekend there.

We had a great mountain view, and Safeway was only a short distance away. The owners clearly put effort into making the place feel homey and clean. Our condo had a queen bed in the main bedroom, two twins in the second, and a hideaway sofa in the living room. The room also had a loveseat, wood-burning fireplace, and flat screen TV. The furnishings, decorations, and linens were all very nice. The kitchen was well stocked, with coffee cups and wine glasses, plus a dishwasher, microwave, and electric stove. The dining table could seat six to eight. There was electric heat in each room. Wi-Fi seemed to be connected to each condo by cable. It wasn’t fast, but it was okay. A key card got us into the clubhouse, where there were several washer-dryers, a fitness center, and a heated outdoor pool. Our upstairs unit had a small deck with chairs, a table, and a gas grill. In winter, there’s a shovel for clearing snow and a private outdoor ski locker, so you can leave your gear outside instead of bringing wet equipment indoors.
