The Turret room was lovely, and the whole house had beautiful, unusual decor everywhere I looked. The staff were friendly and attentive, and there was complimentary wine by the fireplace. Breakfast was fantastic, especially the chocolate waffles. There was also plenty of fancy tea, plus a Keurig with cream and sugar for coffee drinkers. This was our first bed-and-breakfast stay, and it made for a really relaxing getaway. The bathroom was nice, though the toilet paper was only one-ply, which felt a bit disappointing for the price. The room was meant to have bathrobes, but there was just one, and it was probably a medium, so it didn't fit me. Still, the house and our room were breathtaking, and I'd definitely come back.

Every December, my sister-in-law Leslie and I come to Frederick to start the Christmas season, and we always book the Turret room at 10 Clarke. It's on a quiet street with plenty of street parking, and we can walk to the downtown shops and restaurants. Monique has thought of so many details that make the house feel cozy and welcoming: homemade cookies when we arrive, wine, local tea and coffee, pressed bed linens, heated bathroom floors, and chocolate truffles at bedtime. There are two fireplaces downstairs, too. The guest rooms and the rest of the house are beautiful and immaculate, and the three-course breakfast is always delicious. Thanks to Monique and her staff. We can't wait to see you next year.

The evenings were hard to leave: fresh cookies appeared in the gathering room around 4:30, with red and white wine set out, and we could have sat by the fireplace for hours. Monique and Rachel also gave us helpful recommendations for restaurants, activities, and even hair salons. Our room was spotless and cozy, with elegant details, bed warmers, and pressed sheets each morning. The private bathroom was down the hall. Breakfast was incredible, fresh and locally inspired, and beautifully plated. The house is stunning, lovingly restored, and full of charm while still having modern comforts. We felt warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived, and left relaxed and already planning another visit. We didn't want to go. If you're visiting Frederick, this is the place to stay.

We had a wonderful breakfast, and the shops and restaurants were an easy walk away. Monique, Mallory, Rachel, and Cosset made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. They were attentive and warm, and the whole stay felt cozy and thoughtfully arranged. The personal care, comfort, and service here are hard to find. We can't wait to return.

We'd never been to Maryland before, and 10 Clarke made the trip feel so special. The rooms and bathrooms were perfect, and Monique is such a warm, welcoming host that the place feels like home. Breakfast was impeccable. It's an easy walk to downtown Frederick's shops, restaurants, and bars, so it worked perfectly as a base for exploring the city. We live in Sweden and can't wait to come back to the US and stay with Monique again. Highly recommend this dreamy place.
